Satyagraha against anti-peace forces on April 5

The Up-country People's Front of Community Development Minister P. Chandrasekeran will hold a Satyagraha in Colombo to protest against the anti-peace forces that is taking upper hand now.

A meeting to discuss the arrangements for the Satyagraha was held in Colombo on Saturday. Member of Parliament P. Radhakrishnan chaired the meeting.

Earlier, the Front decided to hold this Satyagraha on 27. However, representatives who participated at the discussion were of the view that it should be held on April 5 opposite Taj Samudra Hotel.

CMC Member K. T. Kurusamy told our correspondent, the organizer Radhakrishnan accepted the majority view and decided to hold it on April 5.

Buddhist prelates, representatives of peace organizations, political parties are invited to participate at the Satyagraha, which will be chaired by Minister P. Chandrasekeran. The Up-country People's Front has decided to hold Satyagrahas all over the Island to protest against the anti-peace forces.
