Left arm paceman Nandika Ranjith captured his second five wicket haul as Moors SC moved closer towards winning the Premier Super League title for the first time on the second day of the final against Bloomfield played at the R. Premadasa Stadium yesterday.

Bloomfield were dismissed for 172 runs in their second innings with Ranjith claiming 5 for 38 to finish with a matchbag of ten wickets. He was well supported by skipper Rangana Herath and Nilantha Cooray who captured two wickets each. Saman Jayantha hit a top score of 47 for Bloomfield but the rest of the batting failed to make an impact for the second time.

Earlier Moors SC were restricted to 188 runs but still managed to build up a useful first innings lead of 67 runs.

Amila Wettasinghe carried his bat until the end stroking an unbeaten 62 with six boundaries. Kaushalya Weeraratne did most of the damage with fine figures of 4 for 34. Moors SC will start their second innings needing only 105 runs to win the game and the League title.
