The Swiss regions are not simple administrative regions. Each one is an autonomous Republic. Together they form the State of Switzerland called the Swiss Confederation. One should now examine the provisions of Article 1. (1) of the Draft of August 2000; wherein, the powers of the regions and the centre shall be specified by the constitution.
