Hindu College playground opening

Hindu College Colombo's newly constructed playground will be opened today at 9.00 a.m by Manilal Fernando, Vice President of the Asian Football Confederation.

The opening will be followed with an exhibition football match between a Sri Lankan and the North Eastern Combined team.

All these years this ground went under water during the rainy season and was unfit for use. The ground development project was started by the OBA of the school headed by the vice president Ramkumar and the Principal Muthucumarasamy together with the help and assistance of teachers, parents, students and well-wishers of the school.

It was the dedication and hard work of chairman ground project, Ramkumar and the Principal that helped develop the playground within a very short period. The new ground will be a boon to the sports activities of the school of four thousand children and will also help nearby schools. Rs. eight million has been spent on the development of the ground.
