Cabinet decisions

The government has decided to provide training to 9,000 unemployed graduates under a programme jointly implemented by the Ministries of Labour & Employment and Tertiary Education & Training with assistance from the Joint Business Council. Under the programme the graduates will have the opportunity of obtaining professional training on a chosen field free of charge.

A new bill to protect children's and women's rights and ensure social equity will be brought before Parliament shortly.

The Government has decided to review the Public Security Ordinance to bring in desirable amendments in keeping with social changes.
