Nishan sets new record at Eliyakande Hill Climb

Nishan Weerasooriya stole the limelight at the Southern, Eliyakanda hill climb last week clocking the fastest time for the event 35.46 sec. driving his Subaru Impressa College. He also set a new record for the event on this day. Aravinda Premadasa and Dinesh Deheragoda were placed second and third respectively in the group M & T event. Nishan was able to carry away all major honours for his record breaking performance.

In the motor cycles event it was Indika Gurusinghe who clocked the fastest time for two wheelers. He also set a new record for the event clocking a time of 38.72 secs. Shargraz Junaid was the winner in the open event for two wheelers. Dhammika Pieris, Dilshad Hamdoon, Nihal Premasiri, Zakee Ismail Dinesh Senanayake, K. Paramesewaran, Upulwan Serasinghe and Dinesh Jayawardene too registered record times participating in different categories.
