PSD men in trouble

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) probing the attack on the UNP election rally on December 18, 1999 at the Maradana junction where former Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe participated, filed action against two persons of the Presidential Security Division and father of Baddegana Sanjeewa before Maligakanda Magistrate and Additional District Judge, Kusala Sarojini Weerawardena.

The CID found several items of the damaged stage at Baddegana Sanjeewa's residence.

The action was filed on the direction of Attorney General, K.C. Kamalasabayson, PC. Judge Weerawardena directed the CID to file a further report on February 28.
