Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has ordered extra security for SLMC Leader Rauf Hakeem following claims of a plot to assassinate the Minister. This followed a meeting the Minister had with the Premier at Temple Trees yesterday morning. The Prime Minister had also instructed Interior Minister John Amaratunga to order a CID investigation into the assassination plot, SLMC sources said yesterday.
