One dead, 10 injured in building collapse in India One person was killed and 10 injured when an old three-storied building collapsed Tuesday in India's western commercial hub of Bombay, fire officials said. The residential complex caved in at 3:20 pm (10:20 GMT) in a densely populated area of south Bombay, officials said. Chief Fire Officer Amarjeet Singh Jhandwal said one person died while 10 were injured. Another 120 had been evacuated. Jhandwal said it was unlikely that more people were trapped beneath the debris which was being removed. He the building had been due for repairs. |
