The death anniversary of the late Gamini Athukorale, the Assistant Leader of the UNP and former Minister of Highways, Transport and Aviation was held at the Ratnapura Maha Saman Devale at a daham ceremony with lighting of oil lamps by MPs and Ministers including the Minister of Defence Tilak Marapona, the UNP Sabaragamuwa Chief Organiser,and the Minister of Small Holder Development Susantha Punchinilame under the patronage of the Minister of Power and Energy Karu Jayasuriya on January 1.
