Bowlers dominate on day one A total of twenty two wickets fell on a dramatic opening day of the Elephant Lemonade Cup inter school cricket tournament match between Isipatana and Dharmasoka College Ambalangoda and played at the Colts grounds, Havelock Park yesterday. Isipatana were dismissed for 145 runs in their first innings with only Dilan Anuruddha (35) providing any real resistance. However Dharmasoka too found run making even more difficult as they were bundled out for just 78 runs. Paceman Gayan Senaratne did most of the damage with a five wicket haul and was well supported by his new ball partner Chatura Panawenna and off spinner Oshadie Navaragodagedera. Isipatana closed their second innings at 20 for 2 and with an overall lead of 87 runs. The match will be continued at 10.00 a.m today.
