Outsiders Galle Cricket Club will be hoping for another giant killing performance when they confront Colts CC in the Premier championship limited overs cricket tournament semifinal match at the NCC grounds, Maitland Place today.

Galle CC have already surprised a number of top teams on their way towards the last four and last week recorded a morale boosting win over Air Force SC. They have rallied around through their superb team work and almost all team members have contributed to their success. The team is studded with a number of good all rounders which exactly suit their game with Anil Rideegammanagedera being the most outstanding of them.

Their opponents Colts CC of course came into recognition during the latter stages of the tournament largely due to the individual brilliance of wicket keeper batsman Romesh Kaluwitharana. Sisira Kumara will keep wickets in the absence of Kaluwitharana but still Colts CC boast of a strong batting line up comprising of skipper Chaminda Mendis, Sajith Fernando and Dulip Samaraweera.

In the second semifinal Bloomfield will be up against CCC at the SSC grounds, Maitland Place. This will be a real test for the Bloomfield batsmen who will face a strong bowling attack which includes pacemen Mario Villawarayan, Hemantha Boteju, Amila Ratnayake and spinner Nisitha Rupasinghe. CCC will be depending heavily on their top order comprising of star player Michael van Dort, Bradman Ediriweera and skipper Anushka Polonowita.
