Some 35 Senior Superintendents of Police applied for the seven DIG vacancies and went before interview boards more than a month ago. The results were sent to the Public Services Commission by the interviewers shortly afterwards. However in the meantime the PSC was dissolved and the Police Commission appointed. And now for the 35 candidates....well they seem to be DIGs-in-waiting as their promotions have fallen between the cracks.
