The Government has decided to reconstruct the Kandy-Jaffna A9 route with funds allocated by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Chairman of the Sri Lanka National Construction Contractors Association D. D. Wijemanne said that an estimated sum of Rs 631 million will be required to repair the road which was once a battling ground of the government and LTTE troops.
