CB and John Keells clash in first semi-final

Reigning "Sevens" champions Commercial Bank will meet John Keells Group on Monday, December 2 in the first semi-final and on the following day Singer will meet Browns in the second semi final. The final will be on December 9(Monday). All matches will be played at the Astro Turf.

Meanwhile in the last two games of the league Tournament played on Monday and Wednesday at the Astro Turf, Commercial Bank beat Browns 1 nil with Sandun Gajanayake netting the winning goal. B.L.V.S.Perera and M.F.Laheer controlled the game while President, MHA, Dennis de Rosayro performed the third umpires duty.

On Wednesday, Singer defeated John Keells by 2 goals to nil despite taking an early lead.

T. Motha scored first for John Keells in the 10th minute but Singer centre forward Suresh Kumar equalised in the 18th minute and S. Prabath sealed the match in favour of Singer to set up a semi-final clash with Browns on December 3.
