by Ananda Kannangara A special counter to distribute National Identity Cards for candidates sitting the GCE (OL) examination next month will be opened at the Department for Registration of Persons (DRP), Keppetipola Mawatha, Colombo on November 16,17 and 19. The counter will be open from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm. "School and private candidates who have not yet obtained NIC's can obtain their Identity Cards directly from this special counter by producing documents including a letter from the head of the school," Commissioner, Department for Registration of Persons Wijaya Ranasinghe told the Daily News yesterday. He said candidates who have submitted their application forms through their Divisional Secretariats could contact 583199 and 508022 to inquire about their ID cards or produce the receipt issued by the Gramaseva Niladari to the Department. |
