UNP Ex-Co expresses concern

The Executive Committee of the United National Party has reviewed with concern the recent wave of crimes and killings.

These include the torching of the Ratmalana Bata Factory, Walallawita double murder, inhuman assaults in the Colombo University, the Sri Jayawardhanapura University undergraduate's murder and several other incidents in Walasmulla.

The Ex-Co members asserted that the JVP should not be allowed to sacrifice young lives again.

They decided to set up a task committee of MPs to be vigilant of JVP activities.
