China Int'l Piano Competition

The third China International Piano Competition organised by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China and conducted by a Competition Organising Committee will be held from April 25 to May 25, 2003 in Beijing, China, Director, Cultural Affairs, Lakshman Perera said.

He said that the competition is open to pianists between the ages of 17-32. The closing date for applications is December 20, 2002.

A cash prize of US$ 25,000 will be awarded to the winner of the first place. Six prizes will be awarded to the first six winners.

Details of requirements and a copy of the application form can be obtained by writing to the organising Committee in Beijing ( A25, 10 th Street, Dong.Si, Beijing, China.
