Trouble makers shown the door

Tourism Minister Gamini Lokuge convened a meeting yesterday at the Ministry premises to draw up a plan to counter and prevent law breaking incidents similar to those recently reported from some Colombo five star hotels.

It was decided to blacklist all troublemakers and prevent them from entering the hotels.

Persons blacklisted in one hotel will not be permitted into other hotels.

The police will also introduce a special hotline which will enable hotel security to contact the police as soon as an incident occurs.

Special mobile units will also be deployed outside hotels.
