10th anniversary gifts from Seylan Merchant Bank Customers of the Seylan Merchant Bank Limited (SMB) who obtain leases or make investments during a period of 10 days beginning October 29 will receive an anniversary gold coin each in a promotion organised to mark the bank's 10th anniversary, a statement from Seylan Merchant said. The Bank also launched a pension scheme on October 29 for all its employees. "Our tenth year of operations has been a good one," SMB's Director/General Manager Rohan Senanayake said. "After several years of financial losses SMB re-established profitability in 2002. Promotional campaigns such as Millennium Offer (1999), Fortune 2001 and Fortune 2002 have helped to effectively promote our products, increase our customer base and achieve profitability," he said. Senanayake said that the expanding branch network and large sales force has established SMB as the Sri Lankan merchant bank with the greatest geographical reach, while its mobile banking unit has enabled SMB to take its banking facilities to the doorsteps of the masses and our mission is to be an excellent provider of innovative financial products and services aimed at creating and enhancing the wealth of our society," he said. Seylan Merchant Bank Limited is a member of Ceylinco Consolidated. SMB and SMLL have been registered by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka as Registered Finance Leasing Establishments under the Finance Leasing Act No. 56 of 2000. The bank's products include 'Jet Lease, a vehicle leasing facility, business loans and personal banking facilities such as 'SMB Quick Cash', 'SMB Classic Personal Loans' and SMB Fly High' an easy payment scheme to purchase air tickets. |
