Sliding down to an environmental disaster by Arjuna Ranawana Sandun Nishanthi had a shortcut to gruesome fame. The six-month-old
infant was among those who were swept down in a river of mud on the night
of October 5 at Belihuloya. Little Sandun's body was found many kilometres
away from the disaster area by residents of Nendumgamuwa village on the
banks of the Samanalawewa while being torn apart by monitor lizards. Other Stories
