Nalanda Vidyalaya heads Group 'A' in the Sri Lanka Schools' Cricket Association conducted Under-13 'A' division cricket tournament now in progress.

Nalanda, thanks to a fine spell of right-arm spin bowling by Dinouk Jayasinghe who claimed 5 for 32 in spell of 12.4 overs and a cavalier-like knock of 85 runs by Ashan Subasinghe which included 7 sixes and five fours beat Ananda College in their encounter last weekend. With this fine win, Nalanda entered the final round of this junior cricket tournament. Wicket-keeper Chethan de Silva accounted for many catches.
