Not a ball bowled

Not a ball was bowled on the opening day of the Elephant Lemonade Cup inter school cricket tournament match between Prince of Wales College Moratuwa and Kingswood College Kandy due to overnight rain at Moratuwa yesterday.

The match will be continued at 9.30 a.m today weather permitting.

Moratuwa v Moors

Meanwhile Moratuwa SC will take on Moors SC in their Premier championship cricket match at the De Soysa Stadium starting today.

Old Thurstanites SC

The Thurstan College Old Boys Union has decided to form an Old Thurstanites Cricket Club with the idea of giving an opportunity to school leavers to continue their cricket career.

The Old Thurstanites Cricket Club is hoping to make their first appearance in the forthcoming BCCSL Division 3 cricket tournament. Meanwhile the inaugural meeting of the club is schedule to be held at the college hall on Saturday at 4.00 pm.

Past Thurstanite cricketers, cricket enthusiastic old boys are cordially invited to attend this meeting. Further details could be obtained from Priya Paranavitane on 071 269036 or Daminda Cooray on 077 7881413.
