Dharmasena, Jayantha crack half centuries

Two superb half centuries by Kumar Dharmasena (73 n.o) and Saman Jayantha (56) helped Bloomfield reach 257 for 8 in their first innings on the opening day of their Premier championship cricket match against Galle CC played at the Galle Stadium yesterday.

Bloomfield: 257 for 8 (Kumar Dharmasena 73 n.o, Saman Jayantha 56, T. M. Dilshan 25, Duminda Perera 21, D. Lokuhettige 4 for 31) v Galle CC.

Ranjith 6/27

Left-arm paceman Nandika Ranjith captured 6 for 27 as Moors SC bundled out Chilaw Marians SC for 79 runs in their first innings on the opening day of their Premier championship cricket match played at Braybrooke Place yesterday.

Chilaw Marians SC: 79 (Charith Sylvester 26, Nandika Ranjith 6 for 27, Chandika Hathurusinghe 4 for 28).

Panadura - a bold reply
