One Airman killed in shoot out One Airman was killed and another injured last night as two airmen guarding a checkpoint of the Ratmalana Air Force camp shot each other, Mount Lavinia Police said last night. The injured airman was admitted to National Hospital and the Police believe the incident was due to a personal rivalry between the two. The incident took place at Yashorapura junction, Attidiya, Ratmalana around 8 pm, police added. In yet another incident near Jayasinghe grounds Dehiwela an unidentified gang had taken away a pajero after shooting at its driver. The gang had come in a dolphin van and taken away the pajero bearing the number 65-1497. The injured was admitted to the Kalubowila hospital, Dehiwela Police said. (RW) |
