The former minister of Women's Affairs and Social Security Rashida Yoosuf has been appointed as the new ambassador to Sri Lanka.She succeeds Mr. Abdul Azeez Yoosuf who functioned as the High Commissioner of the Maldives in Sri Lanka. He is appointed as the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs. The former Minister of education Dr. Latheef is appointed as the Maldives' permanent Representative of U.N. The former Deputy Minister of Women's Affairs and Social Security Aneesa Ahmed has got the portfolio of Women's Affairs and Social Security. Ismail Shafeu who held the portfolio of Home Affairs has been appointed as the new Minister of Education. Midhath Hilmy has been appointed as the new Minister of Communication, Science and Technology. |
