High Level Motor Cross on November 8

by Susantha Dissanayake

The High Level Motor Cross will be held at Kottawa on November 8, 2002. The event will be held for the second time and is organised by the Kottawa Motor Sports Club, Lions Club of Kottawa, The Army Motor Sports Club and the Homagama Police.

Last year the Motor Cross was a success, with a record number of participants, and this year too, the organisers are expecting a larger number of entries. This year's event will consist of 14 events and an event for children under eight years also will be conducted.

The revenue from the event will be donated to build the Hope Cancer Hospital and to build a public rest room for the Homagama Police Station.

The income of the last year's Motor Cross was donated to the Army Computer School to purchase 20 computers for the children of the disabled soldiers.

Applications should be addressed to Buultjens Brothers, No. 118, Puttalam Road, Kurunegala. Or Overseas Employment Bureau (Pvt.) Ltd., 40/A, Narahenpita Road, Nawala.
