Moragoda briefs President on peace talks A decision was reached yesterday for the peace process to be reviewed at regular joint meetings between President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and their nominees. The decision was taken at a meeting between the President and Minister Milinda Moragoda. The Minister briefed the President on the first round of talks between the Government and the LTTE in Sattahip last month, the President's Office said. Describing the meeting President Kumaratunga said " it was the most comprehensive briefing in the past nine months" according to the release issued by Presidential Media Director Janadasa Peiris. Associated at the briefing was Presidential Advisor, Lakshman Kadirgamar. |
