Indoor Cricket World Cup: Sri Lanka - India clash in the opening game The Sri Lanka men's indoor cricket team will take on India in their opening fixture of the 4th indoor cricket World Cup on Monday in Wellington, New Zealand. Their second game of the tournament will be against the reigning World champions Australia on the same day. The other matches down for decision on this day are England v India, New Zealand v South Africa, Australia v India and New Zealand v South Africa. In round two Sri Lanka will meet South Africa on Tuesday while New Zealand will take on England in another second round fixture. The Sri Lanka women's team will begin their campaign with a match against New Zealand on Tuesday and will also take on Australia on the same day. The semifinals of the men's and women's tournament will be worked off on Saturday and the final is scheduled for Sunday. The Sri Lankan men's team is confident of putting up a good performance after defeating the reigning World champions Australia in the last test series in Colombo. That defeat was incidentally the first the Australians had suffered defeat after having gone through unbeaten during a total of 56 matches.
