Celltel innovations for subscribers A mobile phone-activated electronic audio greetings service has been launched by Celltel Lanka (Pvt) Limited for its subscribers. The first of its kind in Sri Lanka, 'Jolly-Greetings' as the facility is branded, enables any Celltel subscriber to send a range of recorded voice greetings with music to any mobile or fixed line phone in the country. On offer are many categories of greetings, from birthday, festivals, anniversaries, well-wishes, special occasions to non-specific fun greetings in Sinhala, English and Tamil. Also on offer is an option to compose the sender's own greeting. In a planned second phase, Jolly Greetings would offer Celltel users the option of adding their own voice messages to a pre-recorded greeting. Access to Jolly Greetings through SMS and Internet is also planned for the second phase, the company said. Meanwhile, 12 lucky Cell Card users who took up the challenge of guessing the price of a van on display at the recently concluded 'Make it happen' brand promotion received cash prizes from Celltel. The three winners of another competition, where Cell card users were invited to write in examples how they made things happens using their Cell card phones, were rewarded with Nokia phones with Cell card connections. |
