Bangladesh under-17 cricketers in 60-run win

Spinners Arafath Sunny 3 for 10 and Illias Sunny 2 for 26 supported by skipper Ashikur Rahman who stroked a brilliant 53 with 5 fours helped Bangladesh Under 17 National cricket team to score a 60 run win over Kurunegala Schools Under-19 Invitation cricket team in a limited over cricket match played at the Welagedera Stadium on Tuesday.

This was Bangladesh team's second win of their tour of Sri Lanka and this victory will boost their morale for the forthcoming Under Tri-Nation under-17 cricket tournament to be played at Dambulla from October 1st. Bangladesh Under-17 National team 218 all out in 45 overs (Naeem Islam 47, Nafees Ahamed 17, Ashikur Rahman 53, Arafath Sunny 35, Nadif Chowdury 17, U. Perera 4 for 44, S. Karunanayake 2 for 45).

Kurunegala Under-19 XI 158 all out in 38 overs (U. Perera 33, M. Amith 56, W. Dissanayake 16, Arafath Sunny 3 for 10, Illias Sunny 2 for 26).
