Commercial Bank opens 104th branch in Ampara

The Commercial Bank of Ceylon recently opened its 104th branch at D. S. Senanayake Mawatha, Ampara to provide residents of the area the services of the largest computer-linked branch network in the country. This enables customers using the new branch to access all 103 branches of Commercial Bank in the country as well as the bank's network of over 120 automated teller machines which provide a 24-hour service.

Managing Director of Commercial Bank Amitha Gooneratne said: "Commercial Bank" with its state-of-the-art facilities is technologically the most advanced Bank offering a vast array of products and services to suit varied requirements". "The superior performance of our Bank has been recognised internationally as the Bank was named the "Best Bank" in Sri Lanka by two prestigious international publications, the New York based Global Finance magazine and the UK based "The Banker" magazine", he said.

Manager of the new branch I P W Sirinaga said that the Commercial Bank is proud to serve the people of Ampara.
