Wushu lecture and demonstration

A public lecture on Wushu and a demonstration by the Sri Lankan National Wushu team will be held to commemorate the 53rd National Day of the People's Republic of China on September 19 at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute Auditorium at Independence Squre, Colombo 7.

Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Johnston Fernando will be the Chief Guest. Guests of Honour will be Ambassador of People's Republic of China in Sri Lanka Jiang Qin Zheng, Tourism Minister Gamini Lokuge, President, National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka Hemasiri Fernando and Chairman State Plantation Corporation Darshan Jayanetti. Wushu originated in China, belongs to the World, said Manel Dharmakeerthie, International Judge and Referee, Secretary of the Interim Committee of Wushu Federation in Sri Lanka.
