Certain people are hellbent on becoming rich by using any illegal means. Hence it is our duty to unite and reverse this process, said Human Resources, Development, Education and Cultural Affairs Minister Karunasena Kodituwakku. He was speaking as the Chief Guest at the prize giving of Biyagama Pradeshiya Shasanarakshaka Mandlaya's inter Daham pasal Tournament held at the Delgoda Kalyani Pradeepa Pirivena on Saturday. Dr. Kodituwakku said that some teachers work with devotion and dedication, but some just treat teaching as a mere job. But this is not the case with Daham pasal teachers. They do their job with dedication and we must fully appreciate this. School Education Minister Suranimala Rajapakse said, it is the prime duty of parents to monitor their children's behaviour; this, to a great extent will help the children to follow the correct path and help them to lead orderly lives. Sri Lanka Ramanya Nikaya Ven. Madithiyawela Sri Medhankara Thera said, children require the love and affection of parents. Biyagama Pradeshiya Shasanarakshaka Mandalaya Secretary Ven. Wathuruwila Hemaloka Thera, Chairman Ven. Weboda Dhammapala Thera, Gampaha District Secretary V. K. Ruparatna and Biyagama Divisional Secretary K. R. L. Wijewardana also spoke. |
