E-Channelling through 14 Vanik Branches

E-Channelling, the easy way to channel a doctor recently introduced its latest corporate solutions to Vanik Incorporation Limited (Vanik), a leading financial organisation and a Public Limited Liability Company that is quoted on the Colombo Stock Exchange.

E-Channelling has introduced two solutions to Vanik.

The HR solution allows Vanik staff members to obtain their doctors appointments from their HR (Human Resources) division, whilst the Agent solution enables Vanik to offer the facility to the public to book appointments to doctors at Nawaloka, Durdans, Asiri and Oasis hospitals through its islandwide network of 14 branches.

According to E-Channelling limited, the public can now easily get their doctor's appointments by just walking into any of the Vanik branches islandwide. Kandy, Anuradhapura, Chilaw, Galle, Gampaha, Kurunegala, Matara, Nuwara Eliya, Ratnapura, Badulla, Dambulla, Dehiattakandiya, Embilipitiya, Hingurakgoda and Mathugama branches are connected to the E-Channelling system where they can now obtain appointments for over 500 doctors from four of the leading hospitals in Sri Lanka, Nawaloka, Durdans, Asiri and Oasis Hospitals.

"Whilst extending E-Channelling's reach, offering E-Channelling through Vanik branches will benefit the local communities in the areas where Vanik is doing business and we see this venture as a great social benefit to the communities in these areas", E-Channelling CEO Sidath Chandrasena said "We will continue to work with Vanik in the future to bring awareness, convenience and relief to the people".

Introducing the service through Vanik will provide a valuable service to employees, their families and the public in these areas, where they will save time, money and energy as they no longer have to come to Colombo to get the appointment.

Justin Meegoda, President and CEO of Vanik said that "this signifies a further step in its overall effort in introducing and popularising the use of information technology in the outstations for the benefit of the community living in those areas".

E-Channelling Limited is Sri Lanka's only e-commerce company and is the first technology company listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange. Its main shareholders include Millennium Information Technologies, the Ayojana Fund, Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation and DFCC Bank.
