The  Average Weighted Prime Lending Rates (AWPLR) & the Lowest Prime Rate (LPR) during the week ended 23, August 2002 by all commercial banks were 12.59 percent and 11.13 per cent respectively.

The Average Weighted Deposit Rate (AWDR) of Commercial banks for the month ended 31 st August, 2002 was 9.20 percent.
