"You will be King," seer told Prince of Wales

by Geoff Wijesinghe

prophesies, predictions, forecasts, foretelling. These are all tantamount to the same thing. They all claim to tell us of what is going to happen in the future.

These exponents of the fine art or science of giving us an insight of events in advance of their happening use varying and novel methods.

They are also commonly referred to as fortune-tellers.

According to research carried out by medical scientists and psychologists, each of us possesses the capacity to foretell the future. We all have the right vibes for this but in the large majority, they are dormant and untapped.

Ashok Kumar Sharma in his book "Prophecies and Predictions", describes Cheiro as the brightest star in the firmament of futurology.

Cheiro had no peer in the five continents as far as forecasting was concerned, claims the author. Nobody believed Cheiro when he told the Prince of Wales on what everyone thought would be his deathbed that he would live to ascend the throne of England as Edward VII.

An account of Cheiro's meeting with the "dying" prince of Wales, describes how the entire palace was enveloped in a deathly silence.

The then princess of Wales arrived to enquire regarding the condition of the prince.

"How is he", she anxiously asked. The entire team of doctors bowed their heads but said nothing.

The only sound that could be heard was that of the wall-clock and the wheezing sound coming out of the throat of the dangerously sick prince.

At the same time, a person of impressive demeanour entered the room. He greeted the Princess, and proceeded towards the bed of the Prince of Wales, without even waiting for her response.

He put his mouth near the ear of the Prince and whispered, "I am Cheiro. Do you remember me? We once met at the Belgrave Square residence of lady Arthur of the American Society.

Do you recollect, your Highness?"

The Prince breathed with difficulty and nodded his head in assent.

"Your Highness, you must be remembering that your lucky numbers are 6 and 9. I had also predicted that you will be crowned king in August 1902. Did I not tell you that you cannot die before the age of 69". Edward said something in a hoarse voice that sounded like yes.

Princess Alexandra confirmed, "Yes, he is saying yes."

Cheiro continued with his efforts.

"It is now the month of June. Your coronation shall take place after a month. You have to be alright by then." The Prince murmured something that could only be understood by the Princess. He was saying,

"Whatever you told me in the past came out to be true. I think, whatever you are telling me now shall also prove to be correct".

Cheiro was happily sipping tea with the King to be, on the morning of July 15, 1902, in the Royal Palace. As predicted, the coronation took place in August.

Jeanne Dixon is one of the foremost forecasters of the 20th century.

During a reception in Washington in 1945, she told the Indian military attache, Sher Ali that "India would be divided into two countries on February 20, 1947. Today it seems to be unthinkable. But, it will prove to be correct."

In the same year, she told Churchill, the most popular and successful wartime Prime Minister of England, that he would not be Prime Minister after the war. Chruchill laughed at her and said, "people of England have tested my capacities and it can never happen." Churchill's Conservative Party was defeated in the elections held after the war and the Labour Leader Clement Atlee became Prime Minister.

Dixon had also predicated a year before it actually happened that Mahatma Gandhi would be assassinated by a Hindu fundamentalist in the year 1948.

Those who knew this prediction had to bite their nails, when Gandhi was killed by Nathuram Godse. Mrs. Dixon also earned fame when she published details regarding the rise of Anwar Sadat in Egypt and his assassination in a well-laid conspiracy.

In 1956, Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Prime Minister of India, asked her, "who shall be the Prime Minister of my country after my death?" She replied, "A short-statured man whose surname begins with the letter "S"...."

When Lal Bahadur Shastri became Prime Minister after Nehru, Mrs. Dixon's fame spread far and wide.

She also predicted in 1956 that in the following year, the Soviet Union would launch a satellite into the space.

She also predicted that Khrushchev would assume power in the Soviet Union at a time when he was just an ordinary leader in the Soviet Communist Party.

In September 1961, Mrs. Dixon said a prominent actress of Hollywood, both her name and surname starting with the letter "M" would commit suicide.

This occurred as predicted by her. Hollywood's sex symbol, Marilyn Monroe, Killed herself by taking an overdose of sleeping pills.

Mrs. Dixon said in an interview with famous magazine "Parade" in 1956 that a tall, blue-eyed youth with thick brown hair shall occupy the White House as President in 1960.

"He would be the youngest President to take oath, but he would be killed during his tenure." The seer added, "I saw this vision while praying in St. Mathew's Cathedral".

She tried many times to warn John F. Kennedy after he was elected President, but failed to do so.

Her prediction was proven right when Kennedy died while in office.
