Over 20 records lowered at Lanka Lions meet Lanka Lions SC held its 4th annual athletic championships at Sugathadasa Stadium last Saturday and Sunday with the participation of over 700 athletes from all parts of the country including North and East. A total of 28 meet records were lowered in the men's and women's category. Manjula Kumara of Matara district who is a nominee for the Junior Asian Athletic championship to be held in Bangkok cleared a height of 2-10 metres in the high jump for the under-20. This also gave him the Best Performance award for the under-20 P. Don Victor Challenge Trophy. |
