Fund to enrich Buddha Sasana to be set up

'Bodhi Maga' Foundation of Kalutara Bodhi will inaugurate a fund to enrich the 'Buddha Sasana', and to uplift the Dhamma Schools, and to inculcate a dhamma education to young bhikkhus to propagate Buddha-Dhamma and a training.

According to latest statistics, among 3,000,000 school-children in Kalutara district only 135,000 students attend dhamma schools.

The main objective of the 'Bodhi Maga' Foundation is to set up a Trust Fund to assist the Buddhist activities in the country and by propagating Buddha Dhamma to set up a disciplined society. The 'Bodhi Maga' Foundation will inaugurate the fund under the guidance of Most Ven. Udugama Saddharma Keerthi Sri Dhammadhassi Ratanapala Buddharakkitha, the Mahanayaka Thera of Asgiri Siam Maha Nikaya on September 8 at the premises of Bodhi Trust Kalutara at 10.30 a.m.

Ven. Gonaduwe Gunananda Thera, the Registrar of all Island Sasanaraksaka Sandalaya will deliver a special Anusasana.
