Seven new records at Uva Province Athletic Meet

Seven new meet Records were bettered at the Uva Province inter-district Track & Field meet conducted at the Vincent Dias Stadium in Badulla last Saturday organised by the Uva Province Ministry of Sports.

Badulla and Moneragala District Sports Officers Messrs. S. K. Bulathsinhala and Jaliya Gunathilake organised this meet in preparation for the 28th National Sports Festival scheduled to be conducted at Matara during September this year. Badulla District emerged easy champions at this meet where 3 men's and 4 women's new records were established. Uva Province Minister of Co-operative Development and Women's Affairs Katugaha Ratnayake was the chief guest and distributed the awards.
