Lyceum International School's under-15 cricketers who won the Inter-International Schools under-15 Cricket Tournament in September 2001, will take wings to India on 17th August 2002 to play a series of matches in Bangalore, Mysore and Chennai. School authorities and parents have once again provided this incentive to the young cricketers, who have done proud by the school.

Lyceum International School previously too had made tours abroad to India and Malaysia in the recent past, after winning Inter-International schools Cricket tournaments.

This year, the famous Baldwin Boys High School in bangalore, will be hosting the Lyceum cricketers to a four match series. Other matches will be against Imtiaz Ahamed Cricket Academy and Kanara Blues XI in Bangalore and Mysore. Cricket Academy in Mysore - Lyceumites will also play san Thome Secondary High School in Chennai. The eight match tour will be from 17th to 30th August 2002.

The team will be led by Mar Wille, a stylish and experienced No. 3 batsman and right-arm medium pacer who is also a good fieldsman and a steady captain. His deputy will Vasanth Yathwaraj another good all-rounder, who has improved tremendously during the last two years. Sriyan Miftaz right hand opening batsman, and right-arm medium pace opening bowler is another dependable all-rounder.

Fahmi Halaldeen, the other opening batsman and right-arm off-spinner will be another key player. Lot is expected from middle order bat and right-arm off-spinner Dinuk Abeykoon, right-arm leg-spinner Dilshan Manamperi, and last years under-13 captain Risitha Gamlath.

The officials on tour are Sarath Nanayakkara (Manager), Nelson Mendis (Chief Coach), Lantra Fernando (Coach) and W.K.D. Samarabandu (Master-in-Charge). The team: Mark Willie (capt), Vasanth Yathwaraj (vice capt.), Sriyan Miftas, Fahami Halaldeen, Dinuk Abeykoon, Dilshan Manamperi, Ristha Gamlath, Dasis Kottage, Krishan Cadiraman, Mushin Mubarak, Dilan Hewapathirana, Tarindu Senaratne, Karl Lawrence, Viran Perera, Vigar Block, Krishanth Balachandran and Danil Joelson.
