Voters endorsed Govt mandate at local polls - MP Aluvihare

by Matale district group correspondent

The public gave a clear mandate at the local polls for the Government to continue its clear policies for the betterment of the country and nation. Therefore without any differences the participation of the entire nation with the Government is vital. Then only could we easily reach our anticipated goal, said Matale District Parliamentarian Ranjith Aluvihare.

He was addressing the workshop held at Galewela Divisional Secretariat. All Government officials in the area participated on this occasion.

He said that the aim of the present Government is to develop the country and to strengthen the living standard of low income groups. For this purpose the five-years development plan has been launched. Accordingly this program is being implemented from the grassroots level.

MP Aluvihare said under this program priority has been given for the development of basic facilities of the public. However at least eighty percent of this program will be completed during the scheduled time. Therefore the entire support of all Government officials in the area is essential to achieve this task successfully.

Assistant Samurdhi Commissioner, Matale district R. Weerasuriya, Dambulla Divisional Secretary Padmajeeva Siriwardana and Galewela Divisional Secretary Rajitha Rathnayaka also spoke.
