SLMM office at Valaichchenai Batticaloa Roving correspondent The Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) Batticaloa officially opened its new Point of Contact office in Valaichchenai on Friday, 2nd. The Point of Contact was opened at a ceremony and Las de Berg, Head of SLMM, Batticaloa, SLMM members, ASP Jayatileke and representatives from the community were also present. The Point of Contact will in the beginning be opened twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The SLMM in Batticaloa has for a long time wanted to open a Point of Contact in Valaichchenai and received many complaints in this area, said head of SLMM. |
