Collapsing wall kills girl (9)

A nine year-old grade-3 student of Wewegama Vidyalaya succumbed to injuries when an old dilapidated wall of the kitchen of her house collapsed on her.

This was stated at the inquest held on the death of Ruwan Pathiranage Nirosha of Beddawew, Sooriyawewa, by the Hambantota Inquirer into Sudden Deaths W.K. Wijedasa.

A verdict of accidental death was recorded by the Inquirer.

The father of the girl Ruwan Pathiranage Sirisena (42) also gave evidence.
