Two businessmen killed

Two businessmen were killed in Colombo by unknown gunmen yesterday morning, the Keselwatta Police said.

The two businessmen killed were M. Usuf Mohamed Nausaad of Bandaranaike Mawatha, Colombo 12 and Mohamed Hussain Mohamed Fuard.

Investigations directed by Colombo DIG Bodhi Liyanage revealed that Mohamed Fuard had been killed while on his way to the mosque and Nausaad had been killed opposite his house.

SP Gamini Seneviratne conducting investigations assisted by Dharmaratne, OIC, Keselwatta Police had recovered several spent T-56 bullets near the two bodies.

The Police team investigating the killings have recorded statements from several persons who had been at the scene.
