A peace mission by a select group of members of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Recreation Club to the Northern Province, particularly Jaffna, has been planned by the Club's President Boyagoda and its energetic General Secretary, M. Madigasekera, before the end of this month.

Part of the mission's objective is to organize Soccer and Cricket matches between the Welfare Club's teams and professionally - recognized teams from the Northern province.

Madigasekera told that "Daily News" that with the unstinted cooperation of his President, he was able to get in touch with a leading Northern Province businessman, Mr. Sylvester, who has assured the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Recreation Club that he was only too glad to be the main sponsor of both the Peace Mission and the projected sports tournament in the North. Final arrangements will be announced shortly.
