Amano, the pioneers of colour bond (Aluminium/Zinc) Alloy Coated Roofing and Cladding in Sri Lanka opened their new sales centre at Nawala recently. Amano Lanka Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, Chairman and Managing Director Sarath de Costa said; Amano products are manufactured from raw material imported exclusively from Japan and consists of a coating composition of Aluminium 55%, Zinc 43.4% and Silicon 1.6%.

A polyester based finish coating is provided on both sides of the sheets which protects the material from adverse corrosive elements, said Amano Lanka Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, General Manager Gihan S. Jayasinghe.

In addition to roofing we manufacture Wall and Gate Cladding, Ceilings, Partitions, Gutters and Down Pipes, in a variety of colours to customer specifications, the General Manager said.

Outlining the advantages of Amano products, the General Manager said that with an effective width of 600mm and a RIB height of 88mm Roof Deck is ideally suited to carry large volumes of water on roofs with a pitch as low as 1 degree. The unique fastener system provides easier and faster installation. Available in many attractive colours it could be manufactured to customer specifications, he said.

Roof Deck - 5 is a new product designed for the new millennium by Amano. Spandrell - A high grade finishing material introduced exclusively for ceilings and partitions. The "Clip-On" fixing system ensures that no installation bolts or nuts are visible over the finished surface. It is versatile and can be dismantled, reinstalled or modified without any damage to the finished surface, he said.
