A vocational training program jointly organised by the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA) and the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) will be conducted at the Mahapola Training Institute of the SLPA. Minister of Ports Development, Shipping, Eastern Development and Muslim Religious Affairs and Leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress Rauf Hakeem and Minister of Tertiary Education and Training Kabeer Hashim will be the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour at the inaugural ceremony of the training course to be held on July 2 at 9.30 a.m. at the Mahapola Training Institute Auditorium. 127 trainees out of 500 applicants have been selected for the training course, through interviews conducted by the NAITA. The trainees will be divided into groups and trained in twenty different courses at the Mahapola Training Institute. Chairman, Sri Lanka Ports Authority Parakrama Dissanayake, Chairman NAITA, Ajith Colonne, and Chairman, Ceylon Shipping Corporation Al-haj A. J. M. Muzammil will also grace the occasion. |
