Dalmiya calls on President Gayoom by N. U. Abdul Razzak reporting from the Maldives The chairman of the Asian Cricket Foundation Jag Mohan Dalmiya paid a courtesy call on the president of the Maldives His Excellency Maumoon Abdul Gayoom. The former president of the International Cricket Council and the chairman of the A.C.F. praised the efforts of the president to develop Cricket in the Maldives. He said that he was delighted by the fact that the president himself was a keen Cricketer. He promised that he would continue to extend the fullest support for the development of Cricket in the Maldives through the Asian Cricket Council. Dalmiya happily accepted the suggestion of the president to arrange cricket matches for the Maldives to compete with international opposition. |
