Swimming trials for Asian Games and SAF Games June 26 to 29 by LESLIE FERNANDO The first selection trial to pick swimmers for the Asian Games to be held in September/October in Pusan, South Korea and the South Asian Federation (SAF) Games in March next year in Pakistan will be held on June 26, 27, 28 and 29 at the Sugathadasa Stadium swimming pool starting at 3.30 p.m. each day. According to a NAASU spokesman, a circular regarding the order of events and entry standards together with qualifying timing for Asian Games has been posted to respective affiliated clubs, schools and institutions. A total number of 28 events will be worked off in the four-day trial, 16 events for men and 12 events for women. The swimmers first will have to qualify to enter and swim.
